I came across the logo for the Amsterdam Dance Event and I really like the fluidity of it. I have seen others like it but this is interesting because of the way each letter uses the letter besides it to form itself. The 'A' and the 'E' also rotate from each other.
Whilst on holiday in Sardinia, I came across a really nice store facade in the old town of Alghero. The store's name is 'stone' and they have carved the name out of that material and placed it in a clear case on the shop front. I think it's simplicity gives it a classy and diverse edge, but also makes it look expensive and good quality. It's also good to see signage being made out of natural matierals instead of synthetic ones, such as plastic.
I still can't believe that they haven't changed the logo design for the 2012 olympics. It is pittyful. These are a collection of designs done by others. My favourites are the ones outlined. They are simple and I can't image them looking outdated in 5 years whereas the current one already looks childish and inapropriate. I don't think it gives Britain a good image and it looks like the country isn't taking the olympics seriously. It should look professional and prestigious.

He designed a typeface, ITC Avant Garde. This distinctive font could be described as a post-modern interpretation of art deco, and its influence can be seen in logos created in the 1990s and 2000s.
Herb’s 'Families' logo was designed in 1980, and I really think that this is a fantastic example of branding / logo design. It's simple but effective, but also clever the way that he has used the word to convey a message. It's the sort of logo which you would want to design yourself... but wouldn't want to copy.
I was viewing Holly's Blog and she suggested taking a look at this website... and on entering the site... I saw this little beauty. Creative typography... something which really interests me. The use of art/design makes typography more interesting.

I found this logo which somebody has created which I think is brilliant! It's an eye created out of water bubbles and in a fish bowl. The idea of the eye is that Big Brother is always watching... and the concept of looking into a fish bowl... sort of ironic.
I came across an article about this photo and one comment was "I love Logo's that make me smile".
Being blonde... I didn't get it at first, which is why I think that this is fantastic! I looked and I looked, and then it clicked!
As the other person said.. It made me smile! It's great when companies aren't so stuck up and can have a laugh with design and bring a few smiles to people's faces!
